Ratapani forest notified as eighth tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh

The Ratapani Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh has been officially notified as the 57th Tiger Reserve of India.

 Ratapani Tiger Reserve is located near Bhopal, in the Raisen and Sehore districts. Area: The reserve has a core area of 763.8 sq km, a buffer area of 507.6 sq km, and a total area of 1271.4 sq km.

Tiger Population: The reserve is home to over 70 tigers, making it a significant habitat for the big cats. Conservation Efforts: The designation will help strengthen wildlife management, habitat conservation, and ecotourism in the region.
