Ranebennur to go eucalyptus-free for bustard

The Ranebennur Blackbuck Sanctuary in Haveri, Karnataka, is undergoing a significant transformation to support the reintroduction of the Great Indian Bustard (GIB).

Ranebennur Blackbuck Sanctuary Initiative: Objective: To reintroduce the Great Indian Bustard (GIB) by restoring its natural habitat within the sanctuary.

Eucalyptus Removal: Nearly 800 hectares of eucalyptus plantations are being removed. The initiative aims to restore the grassland ecosystem, which is vital for the survival of the GIB.
