Modi becomes first Indian PM to visit Guyana in 56 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Guyana marks a historic moment, as he is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country in 56 years.

During his visit, PM Modi and Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali discussed various areas of cooperation, including defense, trade, energy, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.

Agreements Signed: Five agreements signed to facilitate collaboration in various sectors. Emphasis on energy security and pharmaceutical exports.
