Karnataka unveils 1,000-acre ‘SWIFT City’ plan

The SWIFT City initiative, unveiled by Karnataka aims to create a new industrial hub in Sarjapur, Bengaluru.

Area: 

The project will cover 1,000 acres of land in Sarjapur, close to National Highways 44 and 48. 

 Focus: The city will focus on Startups, Workspaces, Innovation, Finance, and Technology (SWIFT).

Infrastructure: The plan includes 150-meter-wide connecting roads, state-of-the-art offices, residential clusters, schools, and co-working environments. 

 Facilities: It will feature 8-10 plug-and-play infrastructure facilities, each spanning 20-25 acres.

Target Audience: Small and medium-sized startups will benefit from spaces ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 sq ft, available through lease, sale, or investment-sharing models.

Economic Impact: The initiative aims to attract investors, generate employment, and promote economic growth.
