India’s space station to have 5 modules

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to establish the Bhartiya Antariksh Station (BAS), which will consist of five modules.

Modules: The space station will have five modules - Base, Core, Science, Lab, and Common Working Module.

First Module: The first module, Base Module (BAS-1), is scheduled to launch in 2028 aboard ISRO's LVM-3 rocket. 

BAS-1 will serve as a test bed for essential technologies, such as life support systems and crew quarters, enabling extended stays in microgravity.

Completion: The entire space station is expected to be fully operational by 2035. Purpose: The space station will support India's long-term space goals and contribute to microgravity research in various fields.
