India’s first state with a dedicated yoga policy

Uttarakhand is set to become the first state in India to implement a dedicated Yoga Policy. Objective: Integration: The policy aims to integrate Ayurveda and Yoga into the healthcare sector, promoting wellness and holistic health.

 Yoga and Wellness Centers: Establishment of 50 new yoga and wellness centers across the state. AYUSH Teleconsultation: Introduction of AYUSH teleconsultation services to provide accessible healthcare.

Model AYUSH Villages: 

Development of model AYUSH villages in each district to boost the cultivation and production of Ayurvedic herbs.
